Adeona is a free service launched by researchers at the University of Washington and the University of California, San Diego. With the rate of increasing laptop theft this service might be a boon for most businesses. People tend to get their laptops stolen or lost mostly at the airport. Personally, if I am traveling I don’t lose sight of my laptop…it’s just too precious to depart from even for a minute when I am traveling. However, for people who tend to ignore their laptop or get their laptops snatched ( or stolen ) this service might be the answer.

I have lost my laptop before but I use a service called trackitback, they were able to return it to me for free.
