I am a big fan of the TV show “My Big Redneck Wedding,” not cause I am a redneck or anything but just cause it is hilarious. And let me tell you one thing, rednecks know how to have fun. All the way from mud racing to getting their rides all tricked out, rednecks know how to have fun, period. Anyway, enough of my redneck are the best talk ;-) . Check out these souped up redneck rides and think – could we have even thought about them? ;-)

I guess money is never enough. Its one of those things, the more you have the more you waste and in turn want more so you can once again waste more of it. A surgeon recently did exactly that cause I guess he wanted to give something more to his family – his 2 Great Danes.

He spent roughly $385,000 to give his two pets a luxury kennel that most people can only dream of. Some of the features of the Kennel :

  • 52 inch Plasma TV
  • Sheepskin lined raised beds
  • Temperature regulated dogspa with saline purification system
  • Camera all around the property so the owner can watch their dogs roam
  • 2 bedrooms and a livingroom with heat controlled via the internet.

Lucky dogs? You bet. I understand the fact that pets are a part of family but this to me seems like a little over the head. Even if I had that much money I would have to think million time before spending such an amount and I still wouldn’t do it.

If you are a football fan and a gamer, I am sure you have played Madden NFL quite a few times. And if you are a die hard football fan I bet you have waited in line to get Madden as soon as it hits the stores. Being a gamer myself I know how that goes. I am not sure how many of you know this but everytime Madden seems to feature someone on their cover there is a curse that seems to hit them. Here is one instance from the article that I found, to see more please visit the source link at the end of this post.

2002 : The 2001 cover of Madden NFL featured Minnesota Vikings Quarterback Daunte Culpepper, who the previous year had made an impressive NFL debut in taking his team to the NFC Championship Game (which they lost to the New York Giants). In 2001, however, the Vikings struggled to a 4-7 record before Culpepper suffered a knee injury and missed the last five games of the year (while Minnesota finished the season a dismal 5-7)

There has been a flood of interest surround “Digg Blog Day” tomorrow. Many users want to speak their mind, but either don’t have a blog or do not want to feel the “wrath of Digg” for posts written on their blog.
Nethackz has no fear of Digg, so several of the stories will be posted here on their behalf.  It isn’t that we don’t like Digg – on the contrary, it has been very good to this blog over the past few months.  No, this is about the recent changes and the fear that has been set upon the Digg community.  People want to speak out.  They just can’t for fear of being “next”.
Check it out tomorrow.  It looks like there are dozens of posts flooding in — we will get 4 or 5 of them and post them here.  If you want to write about Digg, their recent changes, and how to fix it, you are encouraged to do so on your own blog and post the link at Social News Central.  If you would like to post but remain anonymous, contact JD Rucker at jd.rucker.oboy@gmail.com – he is compiling them right now.
Write on!

As usual I headed over to Techcrunch to see what’s new and I was hit by quite a shocking news – Earthcomber sued them for the dumbest reason on earth. Here is a brief excerpt from Michael Arrington,

We will not be bullied, and people who file frivolous lawsuits need to be put down. I would rather run TechCrunch into the ground and go out of business than let this guy win.

To read the full post and the lawsuit please head over to TechCrunch.

MixxWhile the banning of Digg users has been well publicized recently and capped by the banning of the #3 digger of all time, it was during Zaibatsu’s interview that a hint was dropped.  The bannings may be permanent, Digg may have moved on, but the insinuation that Mixx may be getting a redesign is more important than anything else mentioned.

Mixx is a good site.  It is on the cusp of being a great social media site.  They need to take advantage of the positives they have going for them and nurture the user base until they can sustain and truly grow. Read the rest of this entry
