Most of you already know about TinyURL which allows users to shorten the links. TinyURL is mostly useful when you need to tweet a link or are confined by character usage. It perfectly makes sense that services like TinyURL exist because they are actually helpful.
HugeURL on the other hand allows you to create a huge URLs, literally. Take a URL and put it in the box provided and you will get one heck of a huge URL. We can’t see any real use of this service besides annoying somebody. If you find a real purpose for this service please let us know in the comments.
We tried to create a huge URL out of this link : http://www.nethackz.com and this is what we got. Go ahead give it a try ,

Twitter has become one of the post popular site when we talk about social web. Every person that is active on the net has an account on twitter, some are very active and some use it moderately to announce news and link to their blog posts or anything they might find interesting on the web. While using twitter users have a 140 character limit so sometimes sending out links can be quite a pain. This is one of the reason why services like TinyURL have become quite popular as they shrink the URL and make it tiny. BudURL, however, does more than simply shrinking your links. It helps you analyze how many people are clicking on your links.
Twitter is mostly used by bloggers and we all like to promote our sites and links. The key is to do it effectively so you are not sending out your links alone. The main features of BudURL is that it lets you shrink the URL and helps you track your “tweet links.” You can see the date the BudURL link was created and also how many click it has gotten in 24 hrs or 48 hrs. You can also see unique visits to the links. If you are someone who uses Twitter for marketing purposes or would simply like to see how many people click on the links you tweet, this is a must try service for you.

Kwyno seems to be a pretty cool service so far. Although we would like to write more about it, unless we try it hands on we don’t really want to say much just yet. Please take a look at the video below as to why we are eagerly waiting for the beta launch of Kwyno next month,

There was a point when widgets were everywhere on the web. However, it seems like the widget craze has slowly diminished over the past few months. Although most people don’t realize the power of widgets, it can be one of the most successful tool for your blog or websites. There are many services out there that help you create free widgets. There is one problem though, most of these free widget creating sites force you to add a link at the bottom which makes it look a little tacky, in my opinion.
While we were trying to find some sites that let you create free widgets we came across KickApps. One thing that we loved the most about this application is that it lets you create widgets without forcing you to add their link on the widget. Makes it look custom and quite impressive.
Creating a widget using this site can’t be any easier. Its a matter of choosing what you want, how you want and clicking a few buttons to get it going. A very easy and helpful application for anyone looking to create widgets that look nice and custom made. We created a widget to see how long it would take us to create a simple one and we finished creating our widget within 5 minutes. You can see the final product below. We wanted to embed the actual widget but for some reason it didn’t work. I am not sure if the problem is with the code or myself. I can almost put money down that its me and not the code. Usually Alice or Ritu are the one’s who do these kind of reviews and such. I gave it a try and didn’t work out. But I urge you to give it a try and am sure it will work for you. I am just not very web savvy ( my job requirement is to find entertaining things not useful things, but wanted to give a try ). Anyway, this is what it looks like once its created,
Give it a try. Its easy, affordable (can’t be cheaper than free) and takes less than 5 minutes.

Twitter has been a web phenomenon. Everyone seems to be on twitter, from politicians to CEOs. I personally think Twitter is a great communication tool and a marketing tool if used wisely. If you are one of those people who likes to track your Social Media ranking, this might be something you want to play with. Twitter grader ranks you Twitter profile based on factors such as :
The number of followers you have
The power of this network of followers
The pace of your updates
The completeness of your profile, etc.
There is not much to know regarding the use of the site. Simply put your Twitter username in the box and you are good to go. The site is easy to use and I am not sure how accurate the data is, it sure is a good application to play with. Sometimes its just fun to put random username and see where they stand within the twitter community. I used my twitter profile to see how I ranked on Twitter, please look at the image below. Like I said its as simple as a) put you username in the box provided, and b) click “grade.”
If you would like to add me on twitter, here is my profile : ritubpant
For anyone who has yet to try Twitter, I would urge you to give it a try. At first it seems a little confusing but once you get the hang of it, you will soon find out that its one of the best communication tool out there.

Whether you are trying to research something or simply trying to see how your friends view things, the best possible way to get a glimpse of it is through polls. There are numerous polling softwares and what not that are floating around the web. However, PollEverywhere stands out among all other polling services.
PollEverywhere lets you see what your audience thinks of a particular topic instantly. If you are in a conference or speaking at an event, you can simply ask a question and get response from your audience or colleagues within a matter of seconds. You can then show the poll results to the entire audience via web or powerpoint. The use of this service is effortless. Simply ask your question and have your audience text you their reply. That’s it. Although I would like to give you some more ways on how and why you should use this service, they have done such a good job of compiling all the information that it would be a waste of my time and yours as well. If you would like to learn more and see how exactly this service works please visit this link : PollEverywhere Rocks! Like I said its as easy as ask, get replies via text messages or web and you are ready to roll. Very simple to use and inexpensive compared to other services.
Currently there are six plans available which ranges from free to $370 per month. If you have an audience of 10,000 whose opinion might count towards your goal, $370 dollar should be considered chump change.

The concept of Tizmos is pretty cool although its nothing pioneering. The service basically allows you to add you favorite sites which are all shown as thumbnails on your Tizmos page. This allows you to access your favorite sites without having to type in the URL on the address bar. As far as I can see, you can add as many sites as you would like. To be able to use this site users do have to create an account but its the basic information stuff and doesn’t take more than a minute. One thing I found while using Tizmos was that you are allowed to enter tags while adding your favorite sites. It also gives you an option to either make your page public or private. This approach seems like a nice way to get more exposure if users have an option to look for other users favorites based on tags and such. I tried looking for information if it allows users to see other people’s favorites (if the account is set on public) based on tags but couldn’t find anything.
All in all its a pretty cool service and does solve a problem that most of us face at times. If it allows users to search other people’s favorites based on tags this service can surely be something most webmasters could make use of. If you look at the image below I have added the blogs within the Hackz Network. While tagging I tagged Traffickd as “internet marketing.” If they allow users to search based on tags it would be one more way to get exposure for webmasters and bloggers which would give their service more appeal.

Lately there have been a lot of things sprouting on the web that I am simply falling in love with. I am not a heavy Craigslist user but still at times I tend to use it for some things that I want. However, the extensive clicking and scrolling sometimes just makes the work a little too hard for me. Search All Craig’s List is a new tool that eliminates this hassle. It allows you to search anything that is listed on Craigslist. It sure is a handy way to tap into the massive listing that exists on Craigslist. I am sure I will be using Craigslist a lot more often since this service will definitely make it a lot easier to find listings.

Most of us already know about twitter and the service it provides. Its one of the best way to stay in touch with friends and family. Besides getting in touch it also happens to be one of the best marketing gateway, given you use it with caution and not as a spamming tool.
Anyways, a new service,Gospelr has been launched that is almost similar to Twitter but the only difference is that it caters to Christians. So if you are a Christian who wants to know a little more about their religion or talk whats going on in the Church today, this certainly might be something that will appeal to you.

Just wanted to quick let you in on a new service called “Dwigger.” As Twitter seems to gain massive popularity among web users, web applications are following lefts and right. The basic concept of Dwigger is that it helps you get your tweets out to the masses, supposedly. You take a tweet and submit it on Dwigger. And similar to digg, users can either boost it by voting up or bury it by voting down. The system represents the layout and idea more like Reddit ( voting up and down instead of “Dwig It” ) but the name says Dwigger, so I guess it is Twitter integrated with a service like Digg making it Dwigger.
It is pretty easy to use this service. You can either write tweet directly on the site itself or copy and paste the tweet URL that has been circulating on Twitter. At this point am not sure how popular the service will get in future, but with all the hype going on it sure seems like users are loving it. Go ahead and give it a try and let us know what you think.
