We had recently mentioned that Gawker Media decided to shut down Valleywag and that Consumerist would soon go up for sale. Today is the day. Consumerist just recently put up a post which says that the blog is now up for grabs. This certainly will be a high amount sale and if any of you have the money laying around this might be a good chance to jump on a very successful blog. Of course the managing of such a large and popular blog might be difficult but if the new owner can manage the blog strategically there is money to be made.

Lots of pageviews, but look at that time spent on site – 0:04.. 4 Seconds? Sounds like a bot..
Yup, it sure does look like the work of a bot. 4 seconds average time spent is pretty ridiculous for a site that big. Makes you wonder if thats how they hot thousands of views on each of their articles….
