New Yorker’s might finally be able to enjoy their commute to work. Free wi-fi service has been introduced across most of the station which is used by an estimated 10 million rail passengers per year. Platform 1 -5 is covered, however, 6-11 is not wi-fi ready yet.
This is what Steve Soards, Station Manager at National Express East Coast at York had to say,
For business passengers our wi-fi creates a productive mobile office, with the ability to send and receive emails as well as to access the internet. Staying online throughout a journey can mean the difference between clinching a deal or losing out.
This certainly will make the New York rail passenger’s life easier. If you are in New York and plan on riding a train, be sure to grab your laptop. Business or pleasure, a laptop with free wi-fi is always great to have.
