Valleywag is pretty popular among tech savvy people. The reason - it is a silicon valley gossip hub. Valleywag was launched in early 2006 and 2008 seems to be the end of it. The reason for this decision was because Valleywag is one of the underperforming titles among many other titles that Gawker Media owns. If its not making enough or looks like it won’t perform very well in months to come Nick Denton doesn’t hesitate to either sell or shutdown the title.
The month of October has been quite a storm within Gawker Media as 14 percent of the editorial staffs were laid off. It seems like Consumerist will soon go on sale as well, a title that acts like a consumer watch dog. Anyways, Valleywag was fun while it lasted. So long….
