Today I came across a site that seems to be very helpful for both customers and companies. I personally haven’t tried the service yet although I did sign up for future use. The service that I am talking about is called GetSatisfaction. As the name suggests its all about satisfying you as an existing customer or a potential customer. This site allows you to share your ideas or suggestions to a participating company thus building a relationship between consumers and companies. It acts as a community that works for the community.
Some of the companies that participate on this site are Adobe, Twitter, Dell, BBC among many other well known names. This clearly shows that GetSatisfaction is getting quit a bit of buzz around the web considering such big names are participating on it. Use of the service is pretty easy. Creating an account is easy and includes usual information such as username, email etc. You can also use your open id to sign in or sign in with your Microsoft Live account. Once you are signed in you can choose a company or product using the search bar or click on the companies tab on the top and choose one from there. Once you have chosen the company or product you will see a new window which allows you to either ask a question, share an idea, report a problem or of course give them a praise.
All in all the central idea of Get Satisfaction is pretty neat. A central platform for end users and companies to connect directly regarding issues and suggestions. If you have a question regarding a product or service you should give this service a try. Looking at the company page it seems like they have quite a few company participating so you might be able to connect with the one that you need to.
If you try it out let us know your thoughts on it.
