Make Calls With Your iPod Touch
If you already have an iPod Touch and were planning to buy an iPhone too, seems like someone is ready to save you some money. Truphone, an internet telephone company has created an app that allows you to make phone calls from your iPod Touch. To be able to make a call users must have WiFi connection since the calls are made via voice over IP. But this doesn’t mean you will be able to call anyone. There are some restrictions. You will be able to place calls to other iPod Touch owners, users of the Google Talk’s messaging service, and customers of Truphone’s Internet telephone service. However, company does plan to add the option of make it available to call landlines. We might soon be able to see the app allowing users to skype, check twitter and facebook among many other things.
Usually, Apple is quite stingy about letting apps through but in this case they seem to have embraced it. You can download this app at Apples’s App Store.
