When it comes to money its always fun to pay less and get more. And with the economy going down the hill we certainly want to bargain to extreme. I tend to bargain a lot considering the fact that might my wife is a “shopoholic” and everytime Christmas rolls around my wallet takes quite a beating. Today we bring you 5 sites that might help you save money and hopefully get you better at bargain hunting if you aren’t already one.

Here we go,

  1. Netmarket : Netmarket offers discounted rates on electronics, computers, home decor items, and health products. Members do need to pay an annual fee to enjoy these discounts but at the end it does seem to be a pretty good deal.

    image

  2. Bargainist : This site provides information on discount offers and coupon codes for items from major retailers and stores. Extremely helpful if you are always looking to save a little before heading out to shop at big brand retailers.

  3. Pricegrabber : Pricegrabber is a comparison - shopping site that offers a full list of merchandise in almost every category. It allows users to compare prices from different vendors and choose the price that best fits their budget.

  4. TheBudgetFashionista : A blog that provides excellent news and deals on how you can look your best. This site also offers a community forum, podcast and a men’s section as well. A must bookmark site if you are into fashion and following the latest trend while still keeping your budget under control.

Consumerist Getting Offers In Doodle Currecny

Alice

This might not be funny to others but I find this hilarious. As you already know Consumerist recently went on sale and we knew there would be some crazy offers coming their way. We just didn’t know the offers would be this crazy. Consumerist staff seem to be pretty annoyed and if I were one of them I would be pretty annoyed and outraged myself. When someone tries to buy a well know blog with “doodles” it certainly is funny and outrageous.

To see what kind of offers they are getting head over to Consumerist

Consumerist Is Up For Grabs

We had recently mentioned that Gawker Media decided to shut down Valleywag and that Consumerist would soon go up for sale. Today is the day. Consumerist just recently put up a post which says that the blog is now up for grabs. This certainly will be a high amount sale and if any of you have the money laying around this might be a good chance to jump on a very successful blog. Of course the managing of such a large and popular blog might be difficult but if the new owner can manage the blog strategically there is money to be made.

Here are some images to give you a better idea of how popular the blog currently is,

MediaCaffeine: Collaborative Blogging Network

Connor Livingston
Digg it Add to del.icio.us Stumble it No Comment

Last week, Media Caffeine was born.

Built on a simple WordPress platform, MediaCaffeine is, in essence, just another blog.  The concept behind it takes blogging to the next level.  Part blog network, part original content, but in the end the only thing that matters is quality.  Anyone can get in.  They just have to be good.

The idea is pretty straight forward.  Anyone who has a blog can join the network and start posting their stories to it.  While there are some original stories as well, the bulk of it will be stories from other blogs.  Instead of posting the entire post, bloggers simply write 2-3 paragraph descriptions of their post, quote an excerpt from the original, and then link to it from Media Caffeine.
