Printed Version Of Wikipedia

by Ritu

Just found out that German publisher Bertlesmann released a printed version of Wikipedia which will sell for 19.95 Euros and is 992 pages long. I find this to be odd as first and foremost all the info on Wikipedia cannot be contained within 992 pages and second why the hell does anyone need a physical copy of Wikipedia? It might be helpful to reference once in a while without being infront of a computer but still having a physical copy limits users from all the things they can do online such as editing articles, full text search, etc. Just my thought.

You can preview the book but please remember its in German. Ohh and the text can also be downloaded onto your computer.

Its just my personal opinion and some or most people might find this to be useful. I simply can’t get over the idea why and RWB seems to agree with it.

This is what one of the readers on RWB said and said it very well,
