Intel’s project is great! We can’t wait for this market to mature. We are also producing a method for transferring power without wires at PowerBeam. We use IR lasers and photovoltaics. Check out more info at powerbeaminc.com if you are interested in wireless electricity!

Thanks Chris,

All of these innovations are incredible, but the wireless power is the last piece to the puzzle. Batteries die, so won’t it be great when we can stay on our laptops without being held down with the wires?

The USB Hub brings the rest of it together as well.

Wireless USB is very promising but has yet failed to deliver: unstable connection, short range , slow transfer rate…I think Dell used to have a notebook with wireless USB built-in (the Inspiron 1710 if I am correct). Last time I checked the Dell website the laptop was nowhere to be found…

Wireless electricity, a bonus? A revolution rather!
