We just wanted to quick let you guys know about a phishing scam that have taken twitter by storm lately. While I was browsing through twitter I saw quite a few tweets that talked about some kind of phishing going on in Twitter. After a while I ended up getting one myself and if it wasn’t for all the tweets I had read before I most probably would have checked the link and got sucked into this nasty deal.
If you get a DM that links you to a login page please do not click on it. I am not sure what kind of damage it causes altogether but just to stay on safe side, please do not attempt to even click on the link. The other thing that all twitter users should keep in mind is that you might get these DMs from you friends a/c as well if their profile has been hacked. If you see a message with this link twitterblogs.access-logins.com/login. make sure not to click on it or log in.
Please look at the image below to see what the message looks like. This is the one I got and am not sure if there are other tweets that follow the links. Just be sure not to open the link or sign in just cause it is sent by one of your twitter friends since their account might have been taken over by the phishers.
update : got a new DM which seems to be a phishing scam as well. Please be careful with any links you get on DM at this point.
